Following this logic it is necessary to buy up all tickets. But if we buy up all tickets for $500 000 we will win $200 000 in total. What are you thinking about such mathematics? Why do lotteries remain such popular despite the obvious fact that with each bought ticket the chance to win decreases? The fact is that people who have lost a lottery never tell about it (Who brags about the failures?). While hearings about winning extend with a speed of light! If the person wins he will tell about it to everyone whom knows. Those in their turn will tell about it to the friends. So, thousands of people will know that someone has won large amount in this lottery.

We can observe the same in the HYIP industry. Why do people begin to invest money in any programs (for example, buying lottery-tickets or playing a casino)?
